Suspended New Orleans Hornets Chris Andersen, aka "The Birdman", has applied for reinstatement into the NBA and the decision will be made very soon.
If the NBA lets the Birdman fly again, the Hornets will have first crack at his services and if they decline, he will become a free agent.
Andersen is serving a 2 year suspension for testing positive for drugs. Unconfirmed reports have mention hard drug usage(blow, E) but this is all speculative. Whatever the party drug of Andersen's choice, it cost him dearly as he lost his 13 million dollar guaranteed contract.
I hope the NBA brings back The Birdman. Here are my reasons why:
1. Dude has major ups- Myself being a white baller with cement blocks tied to my legs, I respect a fellow white boy that can sky. Mark Madsen, Brian Scalabrine, and Brian Cardinal have done enough white boy pride damage.
2. Cool nickname- Birdman is catchy and he has his own symbol for it too. Awesome.
3. Entertaining to watch- Most true fans love to see the players on their favorite teams scrap and hustle. The Birdman brings this high energy every night. Just think, David Lee with more tats and a cool hair due. I chuckle when he flashes the Birdman sign after crams.
