New York got a huge win in Milwaukee last night, insomuch as a 15-36 team can call a win huge after beating 19-32 team by one point at the buzzer. The victory snapped an eight-game skid, and Jamal Crawford brought the proper amount of perspective to the postgame interviews.
"I sprinted off the court like we won the championship," said Crawford, who led the way with 30 points, 9 in the fourth quarter. "It feels good just to win one game right now and break the cycle that we've been in."
No seriously, good for Crawford and good for the Knicks. It's not their fault they're in this predicament. Really, only one player (Stephon Marbury) has been connected to much of the off-court turmoil surrounding the franchise, and the players certainly didn't pick their coach. Most of these guys are just caught in the middle of something ugly with little hope of liberty.

Still, a one-point win over a terrible team feels like a championship. That's how bleak the season's been.Permalink | Email this | Read the full post at AOL Fanhouse
