The past six months has seen unending rumor emanating from the Emerald City regarding potential deals to fix KeyArena or insisting a local buyer would take over the team from Clay Bennett and make it work in Seattle. Previous statements may have indicated Stern was playing a bit of hardball to speed up the local efforts. This statement cannot be construed as such.
