A coach of a sixth grade girls' basketball team in Oregon was arrested this weekend after he threatened a 17-year-old referee who ejected him. This video doesn't show much, but it appears to show the coach saying something to the referee, followed by one of the girls taking a technical foul free throw with some angry voices in the background:

The coach, 34-year-old Jeffery Scott Larsen was charged with criminal trespassing of a sporting event, a misdemeanor. The Oregonian reports:

According to police reports, the incident began with spectators who were unhappy with the game's officiating.

Strovink said Deputy Brian Pearson reported that the disturbance began when Larsen, the Molalla team's coach, received two technical fouls and was ejected from the game. Pearson said Larsen remained in the building and verbally harassed the game's 17-year-old referee, an Estacada High student. After the game ended the deputy's report said Larsen threatened the referee physically and directed a profane attack at the boy.

The report also says Larsen approached the referee after the game, grabbed him, "and menacingly cocked his arm back with a clenched fist." To reiterate, this was a grown man confronting a teenage referee who was working a sixth-grade girls' basketball game. Criminal trespassing is a misdemeanor. It sounds to me like he got off easy.
