So maybe the title is a bit of a stretch (We kid!) but in an Inquirer piece this morning David Aldridge takes a very level headed look at this current Sixers team and admits that maybe Billy King left the skeleton of a legit team.
DA caught up with King over the weekend and Billy had this to say.
"I just think this is the plan we put in place," King said before leaving New Orleans, site of Sunday's All-Star Game, yesterday.
"The players are playing the way we thought they would, and Maurice is doing a great job," King said. "He did a great job after we traded Allen [Iverson]. And I'm really happy for the players, because everybody doubted them. Everybody doubted Thaddeus when we drafted him. They doubted Andre. They doubted Sam."
The article goes on to talk about the current desperate position Cleveland may be in. With Jason Kidd going to Dallas and Mike Bibby heading to Atlanta, the Cavs could be willing to overpay for Andre Miller.
Here's another random Aldridge related bit: Mr. Aldridge is doing a blog over at Philly.com this week to keep us all updated on the breaking trade news before Thursday's NBA deadline. But here's a challenge: go over to Philly.com and try to find it.

What's that? You can't find it? Is that cause you went to the sports page? Yeah, it would make too much sense for them to put David Aldridge's blog on the sports page. Instead, he's sharing a "live blog" with a tv critic and a lady who blogs about shopping over the holidays. Brilliant!
