1) Search to make sure they aren't already in the player list.
You can use just first or just last names, too -- or even just parts of a name for a more flexible search.

2) General Guidelines for adding new players:
- They must be in the sports world. Therefore, musicians, actors, or political figures will generally not be added - unless they're current or past professional athletes.
- To avoid player-list-bloat we will not add every suggested player. Typically we add someone if they have been in the news in the past and have a likelihood of being in the news again.
